Nutritional importance of the Acai Berry

Acai berry is the small wonder fruit that grows in the Amazon rainforests wild and contains loads of antioxidants and other nutrients. It is touted as the number one super food recently while the natives of the Amazon have consumed it for centuries.

You might be thinking that if it is so beneficial to the health and it has been right there for so many centuries then why did it take so much time to get to us. It helps to lower your cholesterol and keep your heart healthy and fine. It even helps you lose unwanted weight.

Some studies even indicate that the acai berries spell destruction for cancer cells. While research is still going on as to the exact extent of their benefits, results are positive until now.

You can take acai in many different forms such as capsules, juice, pulp as well as chewable tablets. Remember to take the form that has the undergone the right kind of processing so that you can be sure that the nutrients are intact.
